Kelty Pelechytik

Collaborating with Canadian Jeweller Kelty Pelechytik has been a beautiful and unexpected highlight in my arts practice. From a message on Instagram, a phone call and a simple question ‘Do you think you could paint eye miniatures to sit under portrait diamonds’ our working relationship has grown and a beautiful friendship has evolved. Kelty creates the most precious pieces of timeless jewellery and together we bring to life pieces inspired by the tradition of Georgian ‘Lover’s Eyes’. Every piece is unique and painstakingly designed. Working from photo reference several thin layers of enamel are painted and fired on a gold base here in Australia, then shipped to Canada to be integrated by hand into the item of wearable art.

Each piece can be customised to hold your own lover’s eye.
